DEFENDER RANKS
Not all Defenders are created equal. Each Defender has a different role to play in keeping the peace of the post-nuclear war world.
COMMANDER
Head of operations at the Defending Departments, and elected by Generals and serves until retirement or death.
(Currently, Executive Cadissa Dean is acting Commander in time of crisis.)
Executive
Assistant to Commander, and decides which affairs to present to the Commander.

Generals
Four Generals control four divided groups of regions, and serve as the superiors to their respective Sergeants. Each General also has their own batch of regional Agents. Generals are elected by Sergeants.
Agents
Special task force of Defenders trained for specialized missions assigned by their generals. Unlike other Defenders, they're not tied down to any region, and are selected by Generals personally.
(Ex: Agent Nigel Lopez, Agent Reyna Wents-Aguirre, Agent Lyell Aguirre)
Sergeants
Control an individual regions defense team of Officers, and only deals with their assigned regions specific problems at hand. They're rarely assigned elsewhere.
(Ex: Sergeant Jessica 'Taryn' Hunter of North Cordell, Sergeant Rayder Dow of Midventern)
Officers
Officers are the most common rank of Defender, and serve in assigned regions under Sergeants.
(Ex. Officer Aaron Outown, Officer Zita Klirkpatrick, Officer Armstance Giles, Officer Miriam Outown, Officer Jackson Sallow)

Jessica 'Taryn' Hunter
Rank: Sergeant Region: North Cordell Age: 37 Family: Commander James R. Kordin (maternal uncle) Details: Born in Court Illegia, the youngest Member of the Curatrix Team started her career to swinging success. After quickly becoming Sergeant at the record breaking age of 18, Sergeant Hunter led a well respected team in North Cordell's defense system. After her entire squad of Defenders were killed in the 95 Massacre (see also; Assassination of Curatrix Team) and she was sole survivor, theories spiraled about her being the mystery killer. Little is known about the Sergeant afterward, many believing she succumbed to insanity. |

Jackson Sallow
Rank: Officer Region: North Cordell Age: 20 Family: N/A Details: A conspiracy theorist at heart, Jack works as the janitor due to a mistake of his past. Yet, Sergeant Hunter seems to give him grace, and allows him to work along side her Officers. |
Armstance Giles
Rank: Officer Region: Midventern Age: 19 Family: Josephine Giles (aunt) Details: A Defender under Sergeant Dow, Giles seems to have stuck around North Cordell to assist with the Council. While he has a grumpy and rather rude personality, Giles has an extensive knowledge on history and physical skill. |
